The MAX-power on a successful Scandinavian sales mission in Stockholm and Oslo
MAX Tourism embarked on partnership with maximice events group in September 2021 and we started receiving our first requests in January 2022. During the same year maximice operated 17 Scandinavian groups in Alicante, Barcelona, Gran Canaria, Madrid, Malaga, Marbella, Sitges and Valencia. This was just the beginning of our fruitful collaboration.
After 3 years we decided that it was the right time to embark on a Nordic sales mission and meet the key players in some Swedish and Norwegian event companies.
I travelled from the 24th til the 28th of February 2025 with the founders and managing partners Juan Miguel Caldentey and Markus Müller and it was very pleasant to see the positive reaction from the Scandinavian event organizers and their interest in Spain. We also enjoyed a relaxing dinner with some of our regular customers and could get to know them even better and show them our gratitude.
Maximice events group is a leading DMC in Spain with 7 own offices spread across the main MICE destinations in the country and 3 associates in Bilbao and Canary Islands. More than 30 people make up the MEG team located in the different offices to provide programs with knowledge of the destination, knowing exactly what is going on in each city, offering good value for money and especially best advice for all our clients.
Juan Miguel and Markus started maximice event group in 2008 in Mallorca. Their customers were so satisfied with their work that they asked for other destinations. 2014 was another important year as they expanded to the mainland with the opening of the office in Valencia. To maintain the quality with which the clients know MEG, they realized that they had to increase the number of new offices and have local project managers. After that they opened offices in Madrid, Marbella, Ibiza, Barcelona and the last one in Sevilla.
Maximice events group had already organized several events for the Scandinavian market before we came together in 2021 and their experience was always very positive. They love working with the Nordics, because of their professionalism, common sense and efficiency during the process and always felt that it was a smooth collaboration.
